Tannon Herman
Tannon Herman is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Wildheart, a Harrisburg-based nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding, restoring, and reviving the Allison Hill neighborhood. What began as simple conversations with his neighbors around picnic tables from 2013-2015 has blossomed into an organization that now mobilizes thousands of volunteers annually to engage in practical service of those in need within the community. Under his leadership, Wildheart has achieved a profound impact through various programs, from removing millions of pounds of trash from the community to establishing an urban farm that provides both food security and educational opportunities. More recently, Tannon has spearheaded the formation of the Harrisburg Community Development Corporation, which is focused on creating affordable homeownership aimed at building generational wealth and freedom, to be initially showcased through "The Gateway" development expected to break ground in Spring 2026.

Tannon's commitment to community development has garnered significant recognition. He was personally honored with the City of Harrisburg's Unsung Heroes Award in 2021, and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Leadership Award from the Interdenominational Ministers Conference of Greater Harrisburg in 2024. In addition, Wildheart has received numerous accolades, which include: the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Award, the Peace + Justice Award from PennLive Patriot-News, and the Community Engagement Award from Harrisburg Young Professionals, as well as several other grants awarded by Dauphin County, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the USDA. Tannon's commitment to building bridges to transform communities has allowed Wildheart to capture the attention and praise from local to national leaders, and he hopes to inspire others to make less excuses, do more good and make lots of friends along the way!
