Tannon & Cristina Herman
Tannon and his wife, Cristina, moved to Harrisburg in the summer of 2013, not knowing that soon they'd be confronted with troubling reality of life in Allison Hill. Unfamiliar with the area, they moved into what had recently been labeled one of the Most Dangerous Neighborhoods in the US, as well as a Murder Capital. It was plain to see that the community was struggling, but what was more difficult to lay hold of was the solution for moving forward. After living in the community for nearly 4 years, having hundreds of conversations with neighbors, and hosting thousands of hours of worship and prayer in their home, Wildheart was established in the spring of 2016.

Now, just 5 short years later, a new reality is confronting generations of families that have called Allison Hill their home. Where there were once rings of gunshots, children can be heard laughing and playing in the streets; large lots abandoned and overflowing with trash have become the home of community gardens and playgrounds; the crime rate has decreased by 50%, and yard signs can be seen all across the community stating that "In this house, we Love The Hill." Through the simple act of serving the community, the prayers and cries of many over decades are being answered, and the love of Jesus is demonstrating it's life-changing power again and again! Tannon and Cristina, now have 3 beautiful, young daughters, and are proud to serve and love this incredibly diverse community. They'd quickly tell you that their team is what makes their story so successful, and the hundreds of people within and outside of the neighborhood who have said "YES!" to their invitation to Love the Hill.
